What is the Hemoglobin Test?
The hemoglobin (Hb) test measures the amount of hemoglobin protein in your red blood cells. Hemoglobin is responsible for carrying oxygen from your lungs to every part of your body. It is one of the most basic and commonly ordered blood tests and is often included as part of a Complete Blood Count (CBC).
Why is the Hemoglobin Test Done?

Normal Hemoglobin Levels
